So Apple News is allegedly hiding stories about how broke the Democratic National Committee is. Well, ain't that a surprise? Next thing you'll tell me is that water is wet. Back in my day, we got our news from a newspaper, and if you didn't like it, you wrote a stern letter to the editor. Now these tech giants are curating everything, and apparently they're as broke as my hip replacement fund.
The Media Research Center says Apple's running a 'high-tech protection racket for the political left.' Sounds like my grandson trying to explain why he can't get a job. 'It's the system, Grandpa!' Sure it is, kid. Meanwhile, the DNC is so broke they're probably passing a hat around at their own fundraisers. But Apple doesn't want you to know that because... reasons.
And of course, nobody asked us old folks. We remember when news was news, not a popularity contest. But hey, at least my flip phone doesn't curate anything except my text messages, and those are mostly from my doctor. So keep your fancy algorithms, Apple. I'll stick to my radio and my grumpiness.
