So, the Warner Bros. water tower — that big old thing that's been collecting dust and pigeon poop since before I was born — is getting a makeover. Why? Because some company called Skydance went and spent $81 billion to buy the whole kit and caboodle. Eighty-one billion! For that kind of money, I could've bought a nice condo in Florida and still had enough left over for a lifetime supply of prune juice. But no, they gotta paint the water tower. Probably some fancy new logo that looks like a kindergartner got hold of a spray can. In my day, a water tower was for water. You didn't mess with it. It just stood there, doing its job, like a good mule. Now everything's got to be a big production. Next thing you know, they'll be putting a latte machine on top. Bah humbug. I'll stick to my old reruns, thank you very much.
